So I just started watching this show last Friday and holy hell is it addicting. I am about 9 shows in right now and I just want to keep watching them but I have work to do. This show is so bad ass I can’t believe I didn’t watch it earlier. My friends had told me I don’t know how many times that I should watch this show and I just shrugged it off. I ended up watching 6 episodes in the span of 8 hours cause I just couldn’t get enough of this show. It is so dam good. The acting is great nothing is cheesy or anything each actor does a great job and fit their characters perfectly.
I have made the decision that I want to punch Sawyer in the face like 90% of the time he is on. He is just a complete ass hat, I hope he turns around and changes a little bit. So far I have seen the back story( have been told there is more then just one) of Jack, Kate, Charlie, Locke, Sun, Sayid, and Sawyer and I have to say I like Charlies story the most so far. I have heard that Hurley’s is really good but I haven’t gotten that far yet. I am hoping to go pick up the seasons soon and just spend a week or two catching completely up on the series. What is everyone else’s thoughts on this show. Please no spoilers as I want to keep it a surprise haha.
So I went and saw this movie last night with the wife and I have to say it wasn’t half bad for a kids movie. No we don’t have kids but my wife happens to be a 2nd grade teacher and all her kids wanted to see it so she could have something to talk about with them. The movie was better then I had expected I really expected it to have over the top acting and the plot to be meh. Having not read the books(not a reader god invented movies for a reason) I rather enjoyed it and was entertained through out the whole movie. Kids would love this movie because all the cool special effects and old kids will also be entertained with this movie as well as adults.
The story begins when a single mom and her 3 kids move into this big house their great Aunt had left them. One of the kids is the black sheep of the family and gets blamed for everything well they stumble upon this elevator type thing and he goes up there and gets tossed into this hole other part of the world that normal people can not see. He finds this old book that says don’t open and of coarse he opens it which brings him all these orgs and what not to the house trying to get the book to destroy mankind so he has to convince his family about these strange creatures and stop them from getting the book.
It is non stop action which will keep your kids interested all the way through. I highly recommend it to anyone with kids. You can also check out the books here:
God for the life of me I can’t find a good online game to play. I need a game to play to hold me over and basically make it so I can go into my office and get away from the wife for an hour or two but I can’t find a good for the life of me. Lets look at what is out there right now.
World of Warcraft- The game is complete and utter shit… I don’t care what people say and I am sure there will be a lot of little WoW fans that will come and get all pissy with me about this. Here is the thing, there is no end game for a casual player, none none what so ever. You spend 3-6 months getting to level 70 and yes that’s about how long it takes casual players to get there. Only to find out that you have to devote at least 2-4 hours a night to “raid” with your guild and that is just the first raiding there is. Not only that you have to hope that you can get into a raiding guild that won’t kick you out for being casual. WoW is fun for 40 year old men that still live in their parents basement and/or have no life and have never touched a women before in their life. I am sad to say I spent 4 months getting my toon up to 70 only to be bored out of my dam mind for my whole 1 hour of game play a night. Fuck this POS game.
Star Wars Galaxies - This game use to be amazing I could seriously log on for a good hour and have fun for that full hour. This was the original game that got me hooked on the whole MMO scene. What SOE (Sony online entertainment) has done to is just retarded. They took a fully bad ass game and made it Gayified and did what ever they could to make it like WoW. This game is boring from the get go now, not only that you have little 12 year old running around going OMG I JUST PWNED YOU LIKE WTF LAWLZ!!?!?!!? I am so disappointed in SOE for ruining one of the best games I have ever played. FUCK YOU SOE!!!!! Lets hope the emulator that comes out is actually good if it ever does come out.
Everquest 1&2 – I played this game for maybe two weeks and then getting constantly killed by fucking tools that could only kill people that were 20 levels lower then them. I walked away saying yet another game SOE fucked up or it was always fucked up I don’t know like I said it was only for 2 weeks and I wanted to punch a baby after each time some shit eater came up and killed me while I was killing some kind of mob.
Exteel - Ok this isn’t a MMO but its like a mixture of gundam wing and Armored Core. Semi fun game when you play with friends but over all kind of boring. I had fun when I was playing with 4 or 5 of my friends but when they had to take off I was left bored out of my mind. The creators of this game(PlayNC) need to come up with some kind of content maybe?
City of Heroes/Villains- Now I actually got into this game for a while. Over all pretty fun you know being a villian and what not. But after you get to about 23-25 you realize something every level/instance you go into is the exact same just a different set of mobs. Now that is just fugging boring. The PVP is pretty fun but there is a whole 10 people that seem to PVP. If COV/COH could get some more people it would make it 10000x more fun as well as make up some good content to go level in not the same mobs every time which make it *yawn*
Now I know there are more out there that I need to try but lets face it, is it worth it? And yes I know there is some bad ass ones coming out soon, one being Age of Conan which I am looking forward to and I hope doesn’t suck my left nut. But I need help everyone I need a game to try out with friends that will keep my interest longer then half a second. I hate spending an hour or 2 downloading the client only to spend another 45min un-installing it off my computer. Please give me some good games to play Console(though I only have PS2 at the moment) or PC
Saosin, I just kind of got into this band go dam I am really loving it. In the past week I have probably listened to this album about 30 times just driving to and from work. Really an amazing band. Have to say my favorite song right now is Bury Your Head followed closely by Some Sense of Security. I recommend this CD to anyone that likes alternative rock.
9. Three Days Grace – Three Days Grace
Great album, I was into them once I heard their first song I Hate Everything About You. I immediately picked up the album and fell in love with it. I had to of listened to it more times then I can count. 90% of the songs on the album are still on my playlist because they are just that dam good. In 2006 they released their 2nd album called One-X which is easily climbing to be one of my favorite albums as well. This band will surely be around for awhile they seem to only get better.
8. The Used – The Used
I am not usually into this style of music but when I first heard this album I was amazed at how bad ass Bert McCracken’s voice is. This CD reminded me a lot of deftones earlier work which is why I also loved the album. Sense this album they have came out with two other CDs. None in my opinion have came close to this one of theirs.
7. New Found Glory – New Found Glory
I got into this album when I was in highschool and when I was in my pop punk phase. Their newer albums I could not get into I think it was because I grew out of that stage but I can still throw this CD on in my car and rock out easily. I also love their cover cd where all they do is cover older songs and musical songs.
6. Blink 182 – Enema of the State
The album that got me into the whole rock scene, yes I know crazy but I was actually into more R&B/Rap till I heard this album then I jumped right into the whole punk/pop punk/rock/alternative scene heavy and have never looked back. Such and amazing album. Adam Song hands down one of my all time favorite songs. It was a sad day when Blink broke up and really shitty on Tom’s part for walking away like he did.
5. Breaking Benjamin – Saturate
When I first heard Breaking Ben I was working at a music store and they played Polyamorous on the overhead speakers and from then on I have been into this band. Started of very small and now they are really blowing up after the release of Phobia, which is becoming one of my favorite albums as well by them.
4. Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory
Amazing album, don’t know what else to say. This band has done nothing but disappoint me sense this album but this album was just bad ass all around. The only reason I give Linkin Park a chance now is because of this album, its really sad to say that but their latest album was just horrendous in my opinion. If you have never heard LP before get this album steer clear of all their others.
3. 30 Seconds To Mars – A Beautiful Lie
I got into the band when their first album came out but it really wasn’t till this album that I fell in love with their music. Jared Leto’s lyrics on this album were top of the line bad ass. The Kill has some of the most powerful lyrics I have ever heard. This album is actully quite a bit different from their first album sound and lyric wise. Both albums are great I would just recommend this one over their first one.
2. The Offspring – Smash
This was actually a tough one to pick sense my all time favorite song is not actually on this album its is on Ixnay the Hombre which was another great album. This album is what made offspring famous and why would it not with songs like Gotta Get Away and Self Esteem. They continue to make albums that are great nothing compared to this one but still great. This is one of my all time favorite bands and I will always be their when they release a new CD.
1. Deftones – Adrenaline
This was another tough one to pick which album I loved the most. Deftones is my favorite band and this is probably their best album they have ever released. Around the Fur is a close second but I have to give it to this one. I wish I could say their newer albums are as good as this one but I can’t they are nothing compared to Adrenaline and Around the Fur but all are worth a listen.
Well thats it, those are my top 10 favorite albums. I am sure they will change later on but right now those are there. Look for more of my to 10 favs in future posts.
