A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
now anyone else out there that wants to join in. All you have to do is post one word that describes how you liked or disliked the Dark Knight. AND HERE WE….GO!
Well I will be officially seeing The Dark Knight tomorrow night at 9:10pst. I could not be more excited. This is the one movie that I wanted to see over anything else that came out this summer and lets face it this summer have been chucked full of bad ass movies. Some lived up some didn’t we will get into that a bit later when I do my huge summer movie review post which will come after the Star Wars Clone Wars movie(fuck you all, it looks awesome!)
I know there will be midnight showings tonight and while I would love to go see it then I just don’t feel like being a zombie at work tomorrow. Plan on seeing it with a few friends so its going to be a very good night. I have heard some really good things about it. I have watched pretty much all the trailers there are out there and I just don’t see how this movie can be shitty. The one thing I am worried about is that they will rush things with Two-Face which I don’t really forsee happening but it is still in the back of my mind. We don’t want another Spider-Man 3 fiasco on our hands here!
Anyways I figured I would drop everyone a line because I am bloody excited about seeing this movie
. Anyone else have their tickets ready for this movie?
Well this past Friday I went and saw Indian Jones 4 and I could not of been more excited about this movie. These were the movies I grew up on. After the movie was over I have to say I could not have been more disappointed in the movie. It was not what I was hoping for it was not what I had expected it to be. In the next few paragraphs there may be some spoilers so please read at your own discretion.

The beginning of the movie was actually really good. I loved that they went back to the first one and brought up the Ark that was really cool. The action in the movie was awesome it definately had the whole Indian Jones feel to it which I loved. Then it got a little weird for me, when Indiana escaped the Russians he went to where they were testing a nuclear explosion and he climbed into a refridgerator and was able to survive. Now that may seem like ok well the fridge was made of lead(said on the box) but it shot him about 200ft in the air as well as about another 200-300 ft out and he got out un-scratched and un-harmed.

Now I have to say I was pretty impressed with Shia LaBeouf. Now I never really ever had a problem with him but they are putting this kid in every movie which has gotten rather annoying and I fear that he will burn out rather quickly if he doesn’t slow down a little. He did a good job in this movie, and I think they will be using him as a transistion into the Young Indiana Jones movies which should be interesting.

Now to talk about some of the stuff I didn’t like in this movie. First lets just say I like alien movies I always have I think they are cool, but in a Indian Jones movie they do not belong. The plot in this movie just seemed very bland and boring to me. If you were a huge fan of Temple of Doom you will probably love this movie. It was in my opinion on par with that one. But it doesn’t even come close to Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Harrison Ford did a good job but at the same time he wasn’t as quick witted and just seemed to of lost his step at being Indiana. I loved these movies and this one just didn’t do it for me. It was entertaining at best but was no where close to where it should of been being a Indian Jones movie.

I know I kind of rambled on a lot here but the bottom line is that for this being a Indian Jones movie it really didn’t live up to its name like the past ones have. Do I recommend this movie to anyone? Yes I do only because it is a Indiana Jones movie and it is worth the watch for any fan out there. I was just very dissappointed in how they went about this movie story/plot wise.

So went and saw Ironman this last Friday and holy shit it totally met my expectations. Movie was beyond bad ass! Everything you are hoping to get out of this movie you will.
The only thing that I was a little iffy about was the on screen romance between Robert Downey Junior and Gweneth Paltrow it just seemed a little bland to me but that was just minor to the over all bad assness of this movie. There is no stop action through out the whole movie as well as great character development. I can’t say enough good things about this movie with out ruining it for people which I do not want to do.

I really love what marvel is doing now with their movies. If some of you are not aware Marvel has taken full control over all their movies meaning they are the ones putting up the cash for all the movies. This is just the beginning of many marvel movies to come. Tony Stark is suppose to be making an appearance in the new hulk movie as well. So from what I gather Marvel is working on trying to incoporate all these movies together and then come out with one big bad ass movie *cough* Avengers *cough* We can only hope right.

Be sure that you stay through all the credits to watch the final scene of the movie. Some will appreciate it while others will be like what the fuck was the point of that. Either way stay anyways.
This month is going to be a busy month for movies for me. We have the new Narnia movie coming out in a couple of weeks as well as Indiana Jones 4 at the end of the month which I could not be more excited about. So stay tuned you will get reviews for all of them to come.
So yes I know it has been a little while sense I have posted, been really busy with work and all that fun real life stuff. But about a week ago I went and saw the movie 21. This was a great movie, I am already a huge poker and Black Jack fan so this movie was right up my ally. The acting in the movie was very good, the casting could not of been more perfect. Kevin Spacey delivers yet another amazing performance like he always does. I also really enjoyed the performance from what I am guessing a up and coming star Jim Sturgess.
For those that don’t know what the movie is about it is about young students at MIT that get put together to count cards in blackjack to always win. Ben(Jim Sturgess) is the newest member of the team and he soon becomes the most popular with Prof. Micky Rosa (Spacey). So as you can imagine they win big and Ben is having the time of his life and flying high. Nothing can go wrong for him until he has one bad night and loses a lot of money and then his life is thrown in a downward spiral that he must try and fix. The movie is rather long but honestly it didn’t feel that way. I walked away from this movie very entertained and satisfied… I would strong recommend this movie to anyone that like blackjack or and kind of gambling in general. Hell even if you don’t like gambling you will enjoy this movie.
I will try and get better about posting to try and keep you people entertained… I am also in the process of starting another site in the coming weeks and I will keep you all informed. I think Everyone will really enjoy the new site
Have a good rest of the day/week and don’t hesitate to post up comments on my review. Peace!
